Principal's Welcome

Welcome to our website, and thank you for your interest in Tilsley College.

Our vision is to be a place where Christian men and women are nurtured and encouraged in the faith, and where they are inspired to serve God in his strength and to his glory.

We seek to follow the example of Jesus in being committed to equipping God’s people to serve God effectively and for his glory in today’s multi-cultural world, through deepening their understanding of the Bible, promoting Christ-like character, and developing ministry gifts and skills.

Jesus spent time with a small group of disciples, helping them to see the importance of not only knowing who he was, but of doing what he did, and increasingly being like him in holiness of character. We sum this up in three words, “Knowing”, “Being”, “Doing”.

Students at Tilsley will gain knowledge of God, his word, his world and his people; they will be encouraged in their personal growth as believers to become more and more like Jesus; and they will be better equipped in skills and gifts to serve God in his world.

Tilsley has been training people for service for over 35 years, and graduates from the college are part of God’s mission in many parts of the world. Some return to a previous career, some go on to further education, and others enter full-time church or mission work, but each one pays tribute to the value of taking time out in the company of the Lord Jesus to study and to practise the work he has sent every disciple to do.

Tilsley is part of the international GLO family and, with an emphasis on mission, is a place of many backgrounds and cultures. We are a small college with an average annual intake of a dozen students. This creates an intimate atmosphere which is an ideal environment for discipleship-style training.

So, thank you once again for your interest inTilsley, may our God guide you as you seek the best place to train for his service.
