About the GLO Conference Centre
The GLO Conference Centre is a stunning historical and architectural venue centrally located in the heart of Motherwell. It is within easy travelling distance from both Glasgow & Edinburgh Airports, adjacent to Motherwell train station and bus stances. We have limited car parking facilities on site and plentiful free public parking within easy walking distance. There is a wide range of accommodation close by. We also offer onsite catering facilities and a range of catering packages are on offer for groups and conference delegates.

Venues
Tilsley Auditorium
The Tilsley Auditorium is a beautiful venue with stunning architectural features (capacity of 250). It is an octagonal room with fixed tiered seating and a flexible seating area for 80 in the centre of the room that can be modified to suit the occasion.
No food or drink is permitted in the Auditorium.

The Rotunda
The Rotunda is located beside the Coffee Shop and has a seating capacity of up to 80 delegates theatre style or 60 café style. This venue is ideal for informal meetings, training, functions, exhibitions and seminars.

Small Meeting Rooms
Two smaller rooms are ideal for interviews, committee meetings and small group break-out areas. The Board Room (upstairs) and the Dorcas Room (downstairs). Each room can accommodate around 8 to 12 people depending on the layout. These rooms are available on a per hour basis.
Board Room: £ 12.50/hour
Dorcas Room: £ 12.50/hour
Please note:
A ‘Session’ is 4 hours in the morning, afternoon or evening. We can also offer price reductions for non-profit and charity organisations. Please contact us for more information.

The Auditorium is fitted with a standard PA system, Powerpoint Projector, Screen and two side monitors.
Photocopying facilities are available but they will incur an additional cost.

FAQ

A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Reservations cancelled within a month of the event may be subject to an additional 25% charge.
A session is a 4 hour block.
For events out with office hours attendance by a member of GLO staff is necessary. For a standard session the cost is £35 per member of staff, however for sessions over 4 hours there will be an additional charge of £10 per hour. The number of staff members required is dependent on the number of people expected at the event.
For catering out with office hours and concert ‘intervals’ there will be a standard staff charge of £20 per member of staff.
The GLO Centre has full Public Liability cover for our own buildings and equipment. However, this will NOT cover any accident caused by, or damage to, the hirers own equipment or property. You should therefore check that your own insurance cover will cover you in the event of any incident.
The hirer assumes responsibility for loss or damage to GLO equipment and fabric, fair wear & tear excepted.
We will provide a Health & Safety and Fire Safety briefing to the Responsible Person you have nominated for the group. They will be expected to sign a statement that this has been carried out, that they will ensure the maximum capacity for the room is not exceeded and that they will take reasonable responsibility for their group.
All the buildings at the GLO Centre are designated non-smoking areas. The premises are not licensed.
